The Directors and Management team at Global Rx Management continue to review and actively follow updates provided by our Government for advice, counsel, and guidance as we move forward.
We have a further update for you today in regards to the operation of Global Rx Management Limited. As of midnight, on the 27th of April New Zealand moved to Level 3 in the COVID -19 situation. This means that some businesses have been able to move back to the workplace as long as social distancing is observed and guidelines released by the Government are adhered to. Any employees that can continue to work from home have been advised to stay home. The majority of the New Zealand team continue to work remotely. Please see below the current shipping status updates for each of our Tier 1 Countries.
- New Zealand – Orders are processing and shipping as normal but we have been advised to expect delivery delays due to cancelled flights, offloads and capacity availability. Expect shipping delays of up to 7 days.
- Australia – Orders are processing as normal but as detailed above, expect shipping delays of up to 7 days.
- Canada – Our dispensing pharmacies in Canada continue to limit medication supplies to a one month not a three-month supply. Our team are identifying affected orders and advising Plan members accordingly at the time their order is processed by phone or email. We will revert to a three-month supply as soon as this restriction is lifted by our Canadian Pharmacy’s. Please see the messaging being used for Plan members below.
“Thank you for your recent {medications} order. We are emailing you to advise that due to new temporary restrictions in place at the Pharmacy dispensing your medication, it has been necessary to reduce your order to a one-month supply.
Please be advised that you will receive exactly the same medication however your medication may need to be repackaged if the current packaging is larger than a one-month supply. We thank you for your understanding as we work to continue the supply of your medication. Please do also be assured that when the restriction is listed your order will revert to a three-month supply.”
- United Kingdom – Our dispensing pharmacies in the UK have advised of a slight delay as they await the arrival of medications. Currently instead of shipping next day, some orders will ship in 48 hours.
- Call Centre Contingency – Our call centre continues to expand their current ‘Work from Home’ structure allowing more agents and support staff to seamlessly work remotely.
- Orders shipments – As detailed above, we are experiencing delays from all of our dispensing pharmacies due to this unprecedented situation and the impact it is causing globally. We have been advised to expect delays of up to seven business days or more on usual transit times.
Essentially at this point in time it may take the full 21 to 28 days plus an additional 7 days for Plan Members to receive their orders. We will be delaying the reship of orders not received to 35 days as we are noting delays from the countries when shipping the orders, and additional delays due to the processing of the orders with USPS. We are closely monitoring this situation on a daily basis. In the event that a Plan Member experiences a delay in the receipt of their order we will be recommending that they obtain a one-month supply locally.
Please continue to be reassured, that our dedicated team of Healthcare Professionals are working diligently and continue to be committed and able to take whatever action health authorities recommend to reduce the risk to our business and community going forward, and insure that Plan Members continue to receive their medication during this challenging time. As advised in previous communications should COVID-19 infections continue, our policies and plans will be updated at that time based on the situation and evolution of the virus. We will endeavour to keep you informed accordingly as we have today.
